DESCRIPTION:REPARATIVE COMMUNAL CONSULTATION \nFOR WHITE PEOPLE\n \nPart 4\nA VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER\nSponsored by Education For Racial Equality \nto help create an embodied anti-racist/anti-oppression culture for future generations of BIPOC children.\n \nWITH AUTHOR SOMATIC EDUCATOR RESMAA MENAKEM\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT NOTE: If you wish to attend you need to know this fundraiser is an on going proces and so you will need to receive  Part 1\,2\, & 3 to be able to join us on Part 4. \nIf you wish to attend please contact events@educationforracialequity.com.\nResmaa is looking to create a collaborative e-course to support the Movement Of Somatic Abolitionism. \nThe Movement Of Somatic Abolitionism is a body of work which establishes the underpinnings the emergence of a new culture: one that is safe for future generations of Black\, Brown and Indigenous babies and children. This funding will go towards creating a embodied anti-racist/oppression curriculum and free online e-course for community members parents and teachers of culture first\, who provide K-12 guidance. We believe that this will have a foundational impact on Black\, Brown\, and Indigenous Children and there lives. Together\, Resmaa Menakem and Education For Racial Equity \, along with other subject matter experts will also create a educational certification program that will develop the best somatic abolitionists educators\, healers\, and movement leaders of our time; they will lead with the understanding of Black\, Brown\, and Indigenous children\, white body supremacy\, racial weathering\, geopathic stress\, toxic stress\, and they will preserve the resilience and power of the communities which these children come from. This will be made available to community members\, parents and teachers of culture first and then to others across the United States. Help us create a culture change centered in healing and dignity.  \n\n\nResmaa Menakem ~ Healer\, Author\, Trauma Specialist\nMoving from race to culture is important\, transformative\, and takes work. A lot of work. I help people\, communities\, and organizations find strength in healing that is holistic and resilient. Together let’s set a course for healing historical and racialized trauma carried in the body and the soul. I am a healer. I help people rise through the suffering’s edge. I am a cultural trauma navigator. I am a communal provocateur and coach. I consider it my job in this moment to make the invisible visible. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarlin Quinn\, LMFT (She/Her) is the Founder and Director of Education For Racial Equity. She is also a psychotherapist\, equity coach\, facilitator and anti-racist co- conspirator.  Her equity work began when she entered the field of psychotherapy and realized that whiteness was foundational to the field of mental health\, its theories\, and its treatments.  She began teaching and consulting within the mental health community\, developing an understanding of the impact of systemic oppression and intersectionality to western psychology.  In her private practice she specializes in complex trauma and cross racial relationships. In her facilitation and coaching work\, Carlin uses a combination of critical race theory\, psychodynamic theory and humanistic relational approaches to help unearth and address the complexities of whiteness\, white supremacy and racial trauma in our daily human interactions. \n \n  \nLiz Koch  is an international educator\, author\, and the creator of CoreAwareness™ focusing on awareness as key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness. With 43 years experience specializing in the human core\, Liz is recognized in the somatic\, bodywork\, and fitness professions as an authority on the core primal tissue called Psoas.  Both nationally and internationally published\, her works include The Psoas Book\, Unraveling Scoliosis CD\, Core Awareness; Enhancing Yoga\, Pilates\, Exercise & Dance\, Psoas & Back Pain CD\, Mother\, Maiden\, Crone: Our Pleasure Playlist and her newest book  Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence published in 2019 by North Atlantic Books. \n\n\n\n  \n  \n\n \n  \nEducation For Racial Equity is a cross-racial and inter-generational non-profit organization committed to illuminating and dismantling the system of white supremacy\, globally. Guided by the principles of both Anti-Racism and Anti-Racist activism\, we take a multi-faceted approach to systemic change. ERE creates opportunities to develop awareness of the nature and function of whiteness/white supremacy\, its impact on all peoples\, and how it intersects with other systems of oppression. Our intention is to support integrated and embodied change within ourselves and those who work with us.
