SUMMARY:FUNDAMENTALS: Low Back Pain & The Psoas Connection
DESCRIPTION:FUNDAMENTALS \nLow Back Pain & The PSOAS Connection \nPresented November 2020. The video recording available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \n\n\n\nDISCOVER SIMPLE WAY TO: Resolve low back pain ~~~ \nRather than being caused by muscular weakness\, low back pain is often due to exhaustion. Gaining core strength begins with softening the deepest layers of tissue\, specifically the psoas. Doing so increases the capacity for reestablishing skeletal and muscular integrity. Symptoms associated with an unstable pelvis include mid-and low-back pain… inability to stand and bear weight on both feet as well as popping and cracking noises\, pain\, and stiffness all signal some type of disruption and instability which can lead to back pain. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe earliest rudimentary vertebrae is found in the sea squirt\, a 550-million-year-old prevertebral organism. This oceanic creature suggests that the optimal conditions for bringing an injured\, exhausted\, lack-lustered spine back to life as well as for sustaining healthy bone is through regaining fluid movement…Our longing becomes that which shapes our being and our creative gestures as well as our curious contributions. When our core longing is lost or withers\, what appears is often anguish and pain. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nStalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence

SUMMARY:W I L D ~ Discerning Within: A Collaboration with Kimberly Ann Johnson
DESCRIPTION:w i l d \nd i s c e r n m e n t \nDiscerning Within \nWild  ~ Feral ~ Savage ~ Fawning \nA Moving Collaboration between Liz Koch and Kimberly Johnson \nPresented November 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \nSomeone once told me that civilization is the shared obliviousness to the fact that we haven’t gotten rid of wild things\, and that they dwell “within” us—somewhere beneath the threshold of normalcy. This wildness\, this darkness\, is not an “other.” We are continually sourced\, recreated\, and reconfigured here. \nBayo Akomolafe Finding the Dark: Decolonizing Darkness \n \nAlthough the dictionary defines the “wild” as untamable\, feral\, out of control\, riotous\, ridiculous\, rash\, stupid\, impractical\, and tempestuous\, it is by welcoming the wild that we avoid such antonyms as domesticated\, indifferent\, and unenthusiastic. By listening to our deep primal messages\, we reclaim our birthright as expressive\, dynamic\, and innovative beings. As we turn toward the core\, nourishing gestures\, similar to a blossoming flower\, feel lush within and enrich all who witness the splendor. Sustaining every gesture\, our wild psoas speaks the language of the heart\, and communicates what is held most dear within our bone – the felt-sense of being alive. \nSignaling survival responses\, this primal messenger relays disruptions and compensations that threaten our core integrity. Just as every coherent animal in the wild kingdom sends messages\, humans\, like all mammals\, gesture with the twitch of an ear\, a gleam in the eye\, a hair standing on end\, an arc of the spine. Ignoring the wild nature of psoas can be very dangerous.   \n(excerpted from Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence) \nHow do we know the difference between wild and ravenous? What happens when our inner wild woman is savage?  Can we be feral and live among each other? What happens when we can not discern our inner wild? What if our inner wild woman is muted or silent?  What if fawning is our first wild impulse?    Join the conversation and the movement…. \nKimberly Ann Johnson is the author of the  The Fourth Trimester. and her soon to be release Call Of The Wild (due out in April 2021). She is a Certified Sexological bodyworker and Somatic Experiencing practitioner specializing in birth injury\, birth trauma\, and sexual healing. A lifelong yoga student and teacher\, Kimberly has lead workshops throughout Thailand\, Malaysia\, Brazil\, Portugal and the US on the intersection of women’s sexuality and spirituality\, . After living in Brazil for eight years\, she now resides in San Diego\, CA and teaches Activating Your Inner Jaguar courses online. \n  \n \nLiz Koch  is an international educator\, author\, mother\, crone\, and creator of CoreAwareness™ focusing on awareness as key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness. With 40 years experience specializing in the human core\, Liz is recognized in the somatic\, bodywork\, and fitness professions as an authority on the core tissue called Psoas.  Both nationally and internationally published\, her works include The Psoas Book\, Unraveling Scoliosis CD\, Core Awareness; Enhancing Yoga\, Pilates\, Exercise & Dance\, Psoas & Back Pain CD\, Mother\, Maiden\, Crone: Our Pleasure Playlist and her latest book Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence.\n \n

SUMMARY:Changing The Language of Body ~ Participating With Your Organizing Intelligence
DESCRIPTION:Stalking Wild Psoas \nEmbodying Your Core Intelligence  \nEssay Six \n\n\n\nLanding & Locating \nPresented 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \nParticipating With Your Organizing Intelligence \n\n\n\nA Conceptual Shift Made Potent Through Movement \n\n\n\n\n\n\nPsoas reveals the truth about our relationship with the earth…. \n\n\n\nOur arrival as newborns is a landing felt deep in our bone which continues to shape our flourishing gestures. Like a tuning fork produces a pure tone\, psoas is in resonance with the wisdom of our bone\, vibrating the very essence of life and putting a bounce in our step. Bone offers a lightness of being – a calling from the living earth. In contrast\, muscles are all about doing: fetching water and carrying wood. Marrow at the very center of bone nourishes the brain and spinal cord. To land in the marrow of our bones is to feel the essence of soul. Symbolic of the eternal in both myth and story\, bone is associated with what is lasting and most significant: blood\, power\, and embodiment. When something is felt deep in the bone\, it has landed and will stay with us forever. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe word “landing” is a term I use for feeling grounded and able to locate in space and time. Found within our bones\, the sense of landing is an essential kinetic ignition we share with all mammals. Any disruption confusing our ability to land and locate in time and space is signaled as fear by our primal psoas. As a bio-intelligent messenger\, psoas tracks safety\, every moment of every day. \n\n\n\nListening to and understanding what psoas communicates takes time to develop. If we are connected to ground and can feel the earth’s rhythms\, we are more readily available to be responsive and adaptive to subtle changes But if there is shock still reverberating there will be discord and disorientation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:MOVING WHITENESS with Resmaa Menakem & Carlin Quinn
DESCRIPTION:REPARATIVE COMMUNAL CONSULTATION \nFOR WHITE PEOPLE\n \nPart 4\nA VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER\nSponsored by Education For Racial Equality \nto help create an embodied anti-racist/anti-oppression culture for future generations of BIPOC children.\n \nWITH AUTHOR SOMATIC EDUCATOR RESMAA MENAKEM\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIMPORTANT NOTE: If you wish to attend you need to know this fundraiser is an on going proces and so you will need to receive  Part 1\,2\, & 3 to be able to join us on Part 4. \nIf you wish to attend please contact events@educationforracialequity.com.\nResmaa is looking to create a collaborative e-course to support the Movement Of Somatic Abolitionism. \nThe Movement Of Somatic Abolitionism is a body of work which establishes the underpinnings the emergence of a new culture: one that is safe for future generations of Black\, Brown and Indigenous babies and children. This funding will go towards creating a embodied anti-racist/oppression curriculum and free online e-course for community members parents and teachers of culture first\, who provide K-12 guidance. We believe that this will have a foundational impact on Black\, Brown\, and Indigenous Children and there lives. Together\, Resmaa Menakem and Education For Racial Equity \, along with other subject matter experts will also create a educational certification program that will develop the best somatic abolitionists educators\, healers\, and movement leaders of our time; they will lead with the understanding of Black\, Brown\, and Indigenous children\, white body supremacy\, racial weathering\, geopathic stress\, toxic stress\, and they will preserve the resilience and power of the communities which these children come from. This will be made available to community members\, parents and teachers of culture first and then to others across the United States. Help us create a culture change centered in healing and dignity. \n\n\nResmaa Menakem ~ Healer\, Author\, Trauma Specialist\nMoving from race to culture is important\, transformative\, and takes work. A lot of work. I help people\, communities\, and organizations find strength in healing that is holistic and resilient. Together let’s set a course for healing historical and racialized trauma carried in the body and the soul. I am a healer. I help people rise through the suffering’s edge. I am a cultural trauma navigator. I am a communal provocateur and coach. I consider it my job in this moment to make the invisible visible. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarlin Quinn\, LMFT (She/Her) is the Founder and Director of Education For Racial Equity. She is also a psychotherapist\, equity coach\, facilitator and anti-racist co- conspirator.  Her equity work began when she entered the field of psychotherapy and realized that whiteness was foundational to the field of mental health\, its theories\, and its treatments.  She began teaching and consulting within the mental health community\, developing an understanding of the impact of systemic oppression and intersectionality to western psychology.  In her private practice she specializes in complex trauma and cross racial relationships. In her facilitation and coaching work\, Carlin uses a combination of critical race theory\, psychodynamic theory and humanistic relational approaches to help unearth and address the complexities of whiteness\, white supremacy and racial trauma in our daily human interactions. \n \n  \nLiz Koch  is an international educator\, author\, and the creator of CoreAwareness™ focusing on awareness as key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness. With 43 years experience specializing in the human core\, Liz is recognized in the somatic\, bodywork\, and fitness professions as an authority on the core primal tissue called Psoas.  Both nationally and internationally published\, her works include The Psoas Book\, Unraveling Scoliosis CD\, Core Awareness; Enhancing Yoga\, Pilates\, Exercise & Dance\, Psoas & Back Pain CD\, Mother\, Maiden\, Crone: Our Pleasure Playlist and her newest book  Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence published in 2019 by North Atlantic Books. \n\n\n\n  \n  \n\n \n  \nEducation For Racial Equity is a cross-racial and inter-generational non-profit organization committed to illuminating and dismantling the system of white supremacy\, globally. Guided by the principles of both Anti-Racism and Anti-Racist activism\, we take a multi-faceted approach to systemic change. ERE creates opportunities to develop awareness of the nature and function of whiteness/white supremacy\, its impact on all peoples\, and how it intersects with other systems of oppression. Our intention is to support integrated and embodied change within ourselves and those who work with us.

SUMMARY:FUNDAMENTALS: Jaw & Pelvic Connection (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:FUNDAMENTALS \nJaw & Pelvic Connection \nPresented October 2020. The video recording available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \n  \n\n\n\nHip socket pain\, sacral dysfunction\, and low back issues often find resolution in the Jaw/Pelvic Connection.\nThe jaw and pelvis\, reflect one another\, and when disrupted can cause our psoas to message disharmony whether that originates from injury\, anger\, frustration\, willfulness\, scar tissue\, poor ergonomics or dental issues. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThinking and languaging spine as separate thoracic\, lumbar\, and cervical parts that move independently diminish the power of our core. From one end to the other\, all core movement is an expression of wholeness. Like a fish\, or for that matter a caterpillar\, our head to our tail moves as one. Stabilizing one end of the caterpillar by pressing down your finger only makes the other end of the caterpillar flail. The same is true for the head and pelvis. When one end of the spine is over stabilized (or unstable)\, the other end will become disorganized.\nTo either end\, our psoas messages all core disruptions.\nBy returning core to its fluid primal origins\, compensatory behaviors involving psoas often find resolution. \nStalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence

SUMMARY:CORE PSOAS: Regaining Coherency Through Primal Gestures
DESCRIPTION:CORE PSOAS \nRegaining Coherency Through Restorative Primal Gestures\nhttps://theembodimentconference.org/#LizKoch\n \n \n  \nCORE PSOAS: Regaining Coherency Through Primal Gestures   \nwith Liz Koch \nResolution and resiliency are found not in getting rid of trauma or releasing psoas\, but through the nourishing capacity to assimilate and integrate\, which grows a coherent sense of core embodiment. \nAlthough trauma is often thought to be the means and measure for transformation and even profound wisdom only when we are in a parasympathetic wave rhythm do we metabolize our experiences and evoke curiosity and creativity. Longing to play\, for example is a gesture that transcends trauma. \nThrough simple primal gestures we will explore core psoas as a bio-intelligent messenger of safety and coherency. \nExpressive and dynamic\, discover how your psoas as messenger informs you about safety and thriving.  Just as every coherent animal in the wild sends messages\, humans\, like all mammals\, gesture with the twitch of an ear\, a gleam in the eye\, a hair standing on end\, an arc of the spine. Regaining or growing coherency always begins with a lush juicy psoas.

The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \na collaboration with \nSue Hitzmann \nJoin our conversation to learn why healthy Connective Tissue\nis KEY to a resilient coherent nervous system. \nDiscover how self-help hydrating techniques\nhelp your nervous system function more efficiently\,\nreduce stress and anxiety\,\nand improve diaphragmatic and pelvic motion.  \n\n\n\n Rebalance Your Sympathetic NeuroCore \n\n\n\nIn my professional inquiry with psoas re-hydrating the sympathetic NeuroCore\nby playing with micro-undulations\, sound shaping\, and biomorphic expression\, I began nourishing the deepest layers of buoyant connective tissue. I discovered that over time what senses as dry\, tight\, or inflamed psoas can plump up and feel supple\, juicy\, and alive. \n\n\n\nLiz Koch ~ Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence \n\n\n\nMeet My Guest: \nSue Hitzmann\, MS\, CST\, NMT\, is a nationally recognized neuro-fascial manual therapist and teacher whose studies and explorations have culminated in the creation of the M.E.L.T. Method® (MELT). A revolutionary approach to pain-free fitness and longevity\, Melt Method is a self help technique for working with the connective tissue. Because the Psoas is deeply embedded in the sympathetic neuro-core\, hydrating connective tissue is an important key for resolving Psoas inflammation\, pain\, and tension. \n\n\n\nNeuroCore is a termed coined by neuro-fascial therapist Sue Hitzmann creator of The MELT Method® (2006) first heard during a conversation (2010) with author Liz Koch discussing the deepest “fascial bags” that enfold spinal cord\, psoas\, kidney\, adrenals: The NeuroCore System is comprised of a Reflexive Core – the 3D cylinder and the Rooted Core\, the head-to-toe neurofascial connection that allows our brain to sustain more efficient balance of our masses and spaces (another MELT Term) for the bony and joint parts of our body.(2018)

SUMMARY:Changing The Language of Body ~ Psoas as an Organ of Perception
DESCRIPTION:Stalking Wild Psoas \nEmbodying Your Core Intelligence  \nEssay Five \n\n\n\nCore Messenger \nPsoas as an Organ of Perception \nPresented 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \n\n\n\nA Conceptual Shift Made Potent Through Movement \nOur languaging of body is rapidly changing. The limited\, isolated biomechanical language that once defined and shaped our perception of self and other is dissolving. Burgeoning is a biologically rich vocabulary based on a wild calling; coaxing and inviting us to deconstruct and decolonize our static conceptual framework so we can be “claimed” and emerge from isolation to embrace life as cooperative\, expressive\, and creative. Now is the time to dissolve the old story and inhabit the new paradigm of body as a living process.\nYou and I have a part to play. This new paradigm is paramount as it supports what always has been and always will be: an awakening of coherent life on Earth. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpeaking of psoas as muscle reduces this tissue to a dualist contrast of weak or strong\, inactive or active\, agonist or antagonist. Attempting to gain strength\, muscles are moved through cycles of repetition\, utilizing various forms of resistance\, such as weight to tear down as well as resistance to build up\, in an effort to develop mass\, support\, and shape. In the most sophisticated muscular-based systems\, resistance is a method of maturing the nervous system and removing scar tissue that is helpful for gaining muscular flexibility and strength. Either way\, simple or sophisticated\, psoas when defined as muscle results in a misunderstanding of great importance. Treating psoas as muscle proves detrimental and limiting to our capacity to receive pertinent information. If one understood there is no such thing as weak psoas there is only exhausted psoas\, would this change protocol? Wild psoas is liminal and orbital: a 360 directional receiver\, transmitter\, and inner communicator. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:FLUID CORE ~ Resiliency in the Face of Great Change (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:F L U I D  C O R E \nResiliency in the Face of Great Change \nPresented October 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \nFear is the only instinct that has the power to immobilize us. As an involuntary muscle\, psoas as part of the sympathetic neuro-core* is both a primal mover of our core integrity and part of our fear response.  When we misuse our psoas we ultimately end up energetically depleting our life force and physiologically stressing our adrenals. Because psoas communicates coherency\, it is of great interest to me what behaviors and activities support expressive resiliency and thus encourage a flowing responsiveness. The capacity to respond quickly yet with a consistency is what I refer to as having a stable yet dependable inner resilience. \n\n\n\nSurvival\, recovery\, and thriving are concepts associated with resilience and describe the stage at which a person\nmay be during or after facing adversity. The concept of “thriving” refers to a person’s\nability to go beyond his or her original level of functioning and\nto grow and function despite repeated exposure to stressful experiences  \n\n\n\nJanet Ledesma\, Conceptual Frameworks and Research Models on Resilience in Leadership \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLiz Koch  is an international educator\, author\, and creator of CoreAwareness™ focusing on awareness as key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness. SUMMARY:FLUID CORE: Juicy Menopause (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:FLUID CORE \nj u i c y  m e n o p a u s e \nbeing spit out of the moon cycle changes just about everything….and reveals so much needed nourishment  \nPresented September 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \nRose Oil \nfresh rose petals gathered under the early summer sun\nsteeped with wild clover and amber in jojoba oil\nand kissed to completion with pure rose essential oil \n  \nThe blossoming sexuality of the mature woman and the succulent fruiting of sexual health in the vitality of the crone…. \nSlippery When Wet ~ Staying Juicy ~ ~~ When I turned 42\, I gave birth to my 3rd child. Being an avid breastfeeding mom\, postpartum and peri-menopause collided head on one into the other.  I felt all the bliss of being a source of nourishment while simultaneously finding myself grieving the end of my moon cycles.  Unresponsive scare tissue along my perineum\, a result of a tear during my first birth\, retore with each consecutive vaginal birth\, was now beginning to thin and become a source of irritation. I didn’t know with each healthy birth what I know now; scare tissue needs to be addressed immediately and continually until it dissolves back into healthy tissue. Fortunately I was introduced to the concept of fluid movement and the work of Somatic Pioneer Emilie Conrad’s Continuum Movement.  Emilie is known in her field for her work with the fluid system as it applies to spinal cord injury.Well into in her mid seventies Emilie is one juicy woman; her skin vibrates with lushness\, her mind is incredibly alert\, and she exudes a living Eros\, which tends to send goosebumps through every woman and man that watches her move. She taught me that all tissue needs hydrating (including our brains!) not simply through monitoring liquid intake but by actually igniting the natural wave motion of cells\, organs\, and connective tissue...I learned that aging is not the same thing as drying out and that what most of us assume is aging is really the result of drying out.  By accessing the mysterious substance of fluid within our  own system we enter a boundless source of pleasure and nourishment…. far reaching consequences affect our consciousness far beyond our personal boundaries…we enter a universal consciousnesses that recognizes pleasure not as isolated titillation but as life’s mysterious and transformative substance….  \n                                                                                                                                                                          Excerpted from Maiden\, Mother\, Crone: Our Pleasure Play List

SUMMARY:FUNDAMENTALS: The Hip\, Knee\, Foot\, Psoas Connection (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:FUNDAMENTALS \n The Hip\, Knee\, Foot\, Psoas Connection\n \nPresented September 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \n\n\n\nJoints articulate and transfer weight from one bone to another\, creating range of motion\, cushioning the force of gravity\, and reverberating ground force reaction (rebound). Energetically\, the joints link together like pearls on a string. When bones are not centered in their axis\, the individual joint (like the pearl) is stressed and therefore so are all the other joints in the body. Just as pulling on one pearl affects all the other pearls in a necklace\, a dysfunctional joint that is compressed\, unstable\, or stressed disrupts the whole skeletal system. A problem in a knee or shoulder socket\, for example\, is never an isolated problem. Stress on one joint not only causes other joints to be dysfunctional\, but also causes compensations of muscular and connective tissue through- out the body. \nIf we want core integrity\, a relationship between all of the joints is crucial. A supple psoas supports the continuum and informs us when proprioception is diminished. Discover the relationship between the ankle\, knee\, hip and a dynamic fluid psoas  throughout WALKING

SUMMARY:Unraveling Scoliosis Workshop (Zoom)
DESCRIPTION:Unraveling Scoliosis Workshop  \nPresented September 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \n  \nMy goal in this 3-hour introduction workshop is  to shift our attention from fixing a problem to becoming curious about a living process of inquiry. \nThe pattern of spiraling tension in the body is like untying a knot.  Force from the outward does not immediately work; rather one must go into the center of the knot and soften to release and resolve the tension patterns.  The unraveling process\, is an inner path that winds down and around the deepest emotions of fears\, sorrow\, frustration and despairs. \nToday there are many alternatives to surgery that bring structural integrity\, increased awareness\, emotional stability and offer our selves a positive experience of our being body. \nFreeing the spine from the manifestations of scoliosis entails reconnecting to our inner sensations.  Rather than recoil from feelings\, it requires learning to foster the courage to explore physical and emotional tension and core expressions. To discover the paradox that becoming soft inside creates the strength needed to unravel and offers the dynamic potential for change. \nPersonal health becomes synonymous with empowerment and the ability to recognize our choices.  This process of self-discovery offers a significant life experience. By hydrating all tissue we sense feelings of resiliency. By nourishing our energy and nervous system we provide a deep relationship to gravity and belonging. By sensing the balance and  support found within our bones\, a sense of self  literally becomes a core of integrity capable of standing balanced and firm on our own two feet.

SUMMARY:Changing The Language of Body ~ Your Fluid Midline (ZOOM)
DESCRIPTION:Stalking Wild Psoas \nEmbodying Your Core Intelligence  \nEssay Four \nDissolving the Spinal Column to Reappear Resilient \nPresented 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \nA Conceptual Shift Made Potent Through Movement \nOur languaging of body is rapidly changing. \n\n\n\n\nOur spine as a living river is not an imaginary enchantment or a contrived self-expression but a direct sensory experience – a rolling earth movement in the epicenter of our being that can feel like a sweeping tsunami or a tiny rivulet of movement. Osteopath Andrew Still illuminates“the soul of man with all its pure living water seems to dwell in the fascia of his body.”18 Living water activated within our tissue is a magic potion\, a potent elixir accessible through the vastness of our own fluid system. The stirring of a wave motion can be witnessed in the flow of an unfurling leaf\, the gesture of an octopus\, and it can be felt-sensed within our lush spine. The undulating wave motion is a sacred re-emergence conveying that all life is essential. Fluid movement holds the power to dissolve the familiar and dilute social conditioning. No dismantling required: we simply allow fluid waves to spread through tissue and soften our old thought forms and outmoded patterns of behavior. By utilizing embryological and biomorphic motifs\, the power inherent in water can be received as a pulse of renewal. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

SUMMARY:Changing The Language of Body ~ Biomorphic Expressions
DESCRIPTION:Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence \nEssay Three: Biomorphic Expression\n\n\n\nThe Universal Movement of all Living Beings \nPresented 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \n\n\n\nOur languaging of body is rapidly changing. Now is the time to dissolve the old story and inhabit the new paradigm of body as a living process. You and I have a part to play. This new paradigm is paramount as it supports what always has been and always will be: an awakening of coherent life on Earth. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhether we look through a lens of psychology\, biology\, physics\, or mathematics\, there are recognizable universal patterns which reveal the capacity of nature to self-organize and self- regulate. These self-organizing principles are what is referred to as bio-intelligence. The word bio-intelligence has recently been hijacked by the biotech and artificial intelligence community as they too attempt to understand and simulate how living systems self-regulate. Geometrical patterns revealed through spirals exemplified in shells\, shoulders\, and river beds make tangible the inner connectedness and the invisible processes of life. \n\n\n\nBoth personal and universal\, patterns are the result of biomorphic movement. The self- similarity in form and gesture seen in the curling of a leaf\, caterpillar\, spine\, rivulet\, embryo\, horn\, pinecone\, hair follicle\, and galaxy reveal expressions that we all share as living processes. Biomorphic movements\, found throughout nature in diverse species and in the scale of the universe\, are synonymous with the expressions of living water. Playful and delicious\, water is life’s hidden force.

SUMMARY:FLUID CORE ~ Articulating & Hydrating Hip Joints
DESCRIPTION:F L U I D  C O R E \nArticulating & Hydrating Hip Joints \nPresented August 2020. The video recording available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n“To be in balance\, the bones must be aligned along the axis of gravity\, with the weight supported by the largest possible number of bones.” \nThe value of keeping one’s original hip sockets is rarely  discussed\, which is unfortunate as there are many benefits to never needing surgery (such as financial savings\, having integral connective tissue\, avoiding scar tissue\, and pleasure of movement to name a few). But we are currently under the cultural spell of thinking that the human body is an object; mechanizing living systems still rules. People assume that the hip socket similar to car tires need replacing. Better to just update to the newest bionic model than consider how best to maintain healthy hip sockets for your whole life and how we might avoid and/or recover from such a breakdown. Discover ways of keeping your hip sockets healthy\, articulated and lubricated….yummm  \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLiz Koch  is an international educator\, author\, and creator of CoreAwareness™ focusing on awareness as key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness. SUMMARY:Schooling & The Many Forms Of Learning: Bringing Kids into the Conversation with Lily Oberdorfer
DESCRIPTION:Presented July 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \nAs a mother of three very unique adult children\, I have been inspired by John Holts Unschooling philosophy. As a parent\, I sought to encourage child-led learning. Witnessing the burgeoning of my children’s soul tasks and observing each of them flourish as happy\, independent adults has been an inspiring process. My approach has always surrounded the concept of tracking…tracking myself\, my partner\, and each of my children in order to support emerging ideas that reshape our lives and futures. I invited my youngest daughter\, Lily\, to bring her unique adventure in learning and schooling into this conversation. She has graciously accepted… \n \nLily has been involved in unschooling\, homeschooling\, charter programs (local and remote)\, and standard public school. She created her own curriculum\, used pro and con lists for making important decisions (such as attending high school or community college)\, and completed her bachelor’s degree in 1.5 years. When she was accepted to UCLA for undergraduate studies\, she was honored but chose to track what was most important to her: attending a much smaller\, private university. This eventually led to her decision to attend a prestigious Medieval History MA/Ph.D. program in St Louis\, MO with a full-tuition remission scholarship and teaching assistantship stipend. While studying in St. Louis\, Lily found\, purchased\, and renovated a rowhouse. After earning her master’s degree with distinction\, Lily returned to California to begin a 3-year MFT-track counseling psychology graduate program where her previous research on the origins of punitive confinement merged with her interest in forensic psychology. She recently graduated with a master’s in counseling psychology after completing an intensive clinical internship at Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall. As Lily writes\, “My educational path has not been linear; however\, an unwavering theme has been my commitment to social justice.”

SUMMARY:FLUID CORE ~ Landing & Locating Bones
DESCRIPTION:F L U I D  C O R E \nLanding & Locating Bones \nPresented July 2020. The video recording available by purchasing a ticket below. \n \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n“To be in balance\, the bones must be aligned along the axis of gravity\, with the weight supported by the largest possible number of bones.” \nKnowing the origin of bone illuminates why hydration is vital and can help create new ways of sourcing healthy\, mineral-rich bone and spine. The earliest rudimentary vertebrae is found in the sea squirt\, a 550-million-year-old prevertebral organism.7 This oceanic creature suggests that the optimal conditions for bringing an injured\, exhausted\, lack-lustered spine back to life as well as for sustaining healthy bone is through regaining fluid movement. Bone is breathing\, fluid connective tissue that is nourished through micro-movements and shaped by gravity. Because bone first came into being in the ocean depths and in the sea of our mother’s womb\, replicating wave motion returns this tissue to its primordial waters where lush nourishment re-awakens the vitality of bone. Once on dry land\, aligned with the earth’s axis\, gravitational fields of information take over to shape and organize our bone. It is the sense of being in bone that increases our sense of embodiment. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nLiz Koch  is an international educator\, author\, and creator of CoreAwareness™ focusing on awareness as key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness. SUMMARY:Changing The Language of Body ~ Living A Model of Emerging and Thriving
DESCRIPTION:Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence \nEssay Two: Living A Model of Emerging and Thriving \nPresented 2020. The video recording is available by purchasing a ticket below. \nOur languaging of body is rapidly changing. Now is the time to dissolve the old story and inhabit the new paradigm of body as a living process. You and I have a part to play. This new paradigm is paramount as it supports what always has been and always will be: an awakening of coherent life on Earth. \n\n\n\nThe embryological model offers a challenge to our insistence on maintaining form. Theories on posture no longer hold up as static structures have no place within a living paradigm. Form is a momentary aspect of a process\, a continual re-shaping of being…As a spine-based organism\, all movement emerges out from this primal source of intelligence whether it is functioning organs\, metabolic processes\, fingers and toes\, or emotional gestures. Engaging in these emerging themes suggests that psoas is no longer a muscle to be strengthened or released\, but an essential messenger to be heard and understood as a living reflection of core. Signaling coherent or incoherent\, integral or compromised\, and safe or not safe\, psoas as messenger communicates both our longing to survive and our desire to thrive.

SUMMARY:FLUID CORE ~ Awakening Your Primal Tubes
DESCRIPTION:F L U I D  C O R E \nAwakening Your Primal Tubes \nPresented on July 2020. video recording available with purchase of ticket below \n \n\n\n\nThinking and languaging spine as separate thoracic\, lumbar\, and cervical parts that move independently diminish the power of our core. When one end of the spine is over stabilized (or unstable)\, the other end will become disorganized. To either end\, our psoas messages all core disruptions. By returning core to its fluid primal origins\, compensatory behaviors involving psoas often find resolution. \n\n\n\nLiz Koch  is an international educator\, author\, and creator of CoreAwareness™ focusing on awareness as key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness.
