The Wilderness is inside of you
streaming through your blood, vibrating in your tissue, resonating in your bones…
Are you wondering why take a Stalking The Wild Psoas workshop? Recently a man called me from the UK asking for a description between the Psoas Depths workshop and the Stalking the Wild Psoas Workshop in the Netherlands. What I told him was this…The 12 and 18 hour Psoas workshops will teach you about the Psoas, where it is , what it does, and how to release, tone, and lengthen the muscle. It focuses mainly on functional movement. The everyday way of being; walking, sitting, and shoe ware. I introduce the concept that the Psoas is also bio-intelligent and a part of our instinctive primitive survival responses specifically fetal-curl and startle, the enteric brain/primitive tube (gut feelings), our heart field, and full body orgasmic response. Although we test drive these responses and make note of them while in a Psoas workshop the momentum of the workshop is to cover a wide range of concepts. The pace is one of introducing a concept, demonstrating the concept, experiencing it, and discussing the outcome together – then moving on to the next concept, demonstration, exploration etc …you get the idea! Stalking The Wild Psoas takes us instead into a direct experience of healing our Psoas (not to say people do not self-heal during the 12 and 18 hour workshop ~ they do!). The difference is that I present only a few simple concepts that we take into our awareness as we dive deep into a self-exploration. With everyone in the group exploring the same concept simultaneously we create a powerful field of awareness that allows and supports all of us to stay deep within our organism and access the wisdom of our living intelligence to heal, express, and feel vitally alive. It is an adventure, not a controlled dialogue and although there is a clear container provided by the concept the outcome will unfold in the unique experience of you. It is really the fastest way I know to hydrate a dry, constricted, exhausted Psoas. AND that is why I think you should take me up on my invitation. I am offering two Stalking The Wild Psoas Workshops this fall. One in the Netherlands November 4-6 and the other in Seattle WA November 18-20. At the Seattle workshop I am joined by cellist Jami Sieber who’s music is haunting and powerful. Cello resonates with human tissue and Jami is planning to not only move us with her music but to follow our internal expression. She will be moved to play the tissue of our experience….echoing back what is in the room. Providing this time to slow down and surrender in open attention to what is forth coming is a deep healing experience. I invite you all to join me.
