Stalking The Wild Psoas in Motion ~ A Collaboration with Adriana Pegorer

NOTE THIS WORKSHOP TAKES PLACE ON A SUNDAY, MONDAY & TUESDAY

Do Not Miss This Unique Opportunity….to playfully (and safely) connect and reconnect with ourselves, each other, and beyond! No dance experience necessary….

This workshop connects our personal core to another person’s core. Using principles from Tango Argentino and Contact Improvisationwe will explore the relationship between personal integrity and playing together heart to heart.  Exercises on offering and receiving support (from Contact Improvisation) and creatively walking in partnership (from Tango Argentino) will gradually guide us into a joyful, flowing, inspired dance.

During partner-explorations, we will open up the possibility of challenging and re-organizing our sense of stability and support by creatively negotiating a shared axis, which in turn nourishes our own axis! Tailored explorations will gradually guide us into a joyful, flowing, inspired dance of life.

NOTE: During partner & group explorations you will be asked to maintain a contact with another person (or several people) through some form of touch.

Adriana Pegorer is an interdisciplinary dance artist, teacher and independent researcher living in London. Her extensive work in the creation and development of Contact Tango spans 20 years during which she also taught and performed Contact Improvisation and Tango Argentino dance forms separately. Adriana is also a Pilates Instructor and Fascial Fitness Trainer. Recent international contributions include the 29th ECITE (European Contact Improvisation Teacher’s Exchange), the 6th Queer Tango Festival (Berlin), the 1st Queer Tango Salon: Connecting Bodies of Knowledge (Paris) and the 5th Contact Tango Festival (Wuppertal).  Her work has also been presented in the USA, Argentina, Mexico, China, and Russia.
