The psoas speaks of the very heart of our existence as human beings.
Our journey thus far and the profound longing each and every one of us feels through our journey. The story of our earthly existence. 

For more than 40 years I’ve held space for the psoas to tell its tale. I’ve named the psoas the messenger of the midline not simply because of its physical location (emerging directly from the center axis of the human core) but also because of its power within each of us. Profound and sensitive, the Psoas never lies.  This bio-intelligent tissue resonates the truth as it is right now. Like the precious new born or a wizened sage, our Psoas is a messenger asking nothing of us but to hear and respond to the moment.

I’ve had the privilege of listening to personal stories while sitting with another person’s psoas. Stories that if I am willing to hear help to reveal the inner life with all its vulnerabilities, insights, and deep felt emotions. By sharing these stories with you the reader, I hope to offer the practitioner a window into the felt sensed, unresolved dynamic found within the human core. Each story offers the practitioner and educator not only insight but also challenges our creative ability to truly help another person.
