Internalized Misogyny is neither Personal, nor just Happens to us –
it is an Ancestral and Familiar Conditioning that we too uphold.
You know this deep inside when you observe your limiting beliefs and the many frustrating ways you undermine and override your feelings. Desperate to find a solution, you often feel the urge to hurry up and just feel good. Rather than develop the humble art of listening and nourishing to that which is in pain or in joy in you -to that which is deeply alive. No matter how much you try to convince yourself that life can’t change, something within keeps calling your attention…
but it feels so dangerous because it is. It is dangerous to believe it’s possible
~ Jorja Rivero
To grow our discernment and flourish, we start by slowing down, showing up, and tenderly receiving ourselves wherever we are in each moment. Only then do genuine feelings arise and creative possibilities unfold.
Referred to by Daoist Healers as The Muscle of the Soul, the core tissue of our physical body, Psoas, lives deep within the center of our being and is akin to our unique gifts. Often sensed as frozen or sedated this tissue alerts us to how we have been cut off from innate wisdom.
Rooting into Core Integrity requires that we sense our own being as well as the container that has shaped us. Only then do we begin attuning to a different way of being. Our birthright and capacity to feel and receive the sensorial language of Earth’s pleasures goes hand in hand with honoring our True Self.

CONVERSATION: Available at Liz Koch YouTube Rejuvenating Our Inner Knowing As Women
Author of The Psoas Book, Core Awareness, and Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Our Core Intelligence, Liz Koch invites Jorja to traverse the terrain of “internalized misogyny” as it tethers women to Being Too Much, or not enough. How do these stories live within our flesh, blood, and bones? And how does the colonized top-down mandate shrink our worth and our capacity to flourish?
Recognizing that although WOMAN is a force of nature and the portal of all human life, she carries a legacy of profound dissatisfaction. How can we awaken to the self-sabotaging internalized patriarchal constructs that literally live in our Soma? What can rejuvenate our inner knowing? Reflecting on our basic goodness and the innate goodness of life on Earth we discuss how nourishing our capacity moves us fully into our dynamic relational being.
