Joining Hands Together in the Mystery

A Collaboration with
Liz Koch & Anasuya Isaacs

exploring this moment through movement and creativity

The times are urgent; let us slow down. Slowing down is losing our way… it is the invitations that are now in the world-at-large, inviting us to listen deeply, to be keen, to be fresh, to be quick with our heels, to follow the sights and sounds and smells of the world.”

In the Tradition of the Yoruba People told to us by Bayo Akomolafe

Let us come together for 2.5 hours of deep soulful presence to tap into our inner bone knowing
Let us join hands as we enter the dark womb of wonder, and emerging possibilities…

Softening the lights and blurring our gaze
we put our ear to the ground for what is summoning us

With pen and crayon in hand, we PAUSE in this time of fertile darkness…
to hear our inner guidance and be responsive to what is needed now

Let us gather in a moving exploration of creative play

Meet Your Collaborators… Anasuya and Liz met at We Will Dance With Mountains a monthly course presented by Bayo Akolomafe over several years. Continuing to study with Bayo our worlds not only collided, but also have become rich loom seeding creative collaborations; entangling and rooting us deeper into life’s mystery.

Anasuya Isaacs: is a globetrotting Alchemical Transformation Coach Trainer, Speaker, Entrepreneur, Writer, and Painter. As a Cultural Ambassador, she has developed empowerment programs for people to speak the unspeakable, love their broken selves and own their innate power by combining the power of storytelling, empathy and the creative arts/theater to teach the power of Words to manifest your desired outcomes now. She has empowered Women and young people through her programs all across New York City as a Teaching Artist as well as in France, Kenya, Italy, South Africa and Germany. Trained in the Stanislavsky Method of acting in Paris, France, Anasuya co-founded a theater company in Paris with friends to perform classical French theater in the Commedia dell’Arte style.

As an advocate for women’s leadership, Anasuya is a Certified and Licensed WomanSpeak Circle Leader, facilitating the unleashing of the brilliance of women’s voices as public speakers. This training expands Anasuya’s healing offering to women and children  ready to liberate their voices stolen by trauma from rape, sex trafficking, sexual and physical abuse. As a Certified Intentional Creativity Teacher, Anasuya creates and leads workshops and programs that lead people into a Vision Quest into the heart of their Soul Work and their innate healing capacity using visual art, writing and sacred rituals. She is currently training with AVR-Alternatives to Violence Project.

Anasuya to study International Relations and Communication at Oberlin College. As required by the US State Department, she became bi-lingual in French, deepening her study of the language at the Sorbonne, Universite de Paris, in Paris, France.   Traveling to 22 countries and living in six countries outside of the United States she has been facilitating her Let Love Lead workshops and programs that ignite the sacred alchemy between theater, poetry, song and art and healing from trauma. This platform creates safe space for understanding between cultures. Most notable is Anasuya’s work fostering dialogue between Germans and the newly arrived Syrian refugees; between Italians and the African asylum seekers crossing the Mediterranean; and between South Africans and their exiled citizens living with AIDS at the height of the AIDS pandemic.

Liz Koch: is a conceptual artist exploring the deep sensory system and the wild wisdom and bio-intelligence of our primal core. An international educator, author, mother, crone, and creator of CoreAwareness™ focusing on awareness is key for developing human potential and awakening consciousness. With 45 years experience specializing in the tissue called Psoas, Liz is recognized in the somatic, bodywork, and fitness professions as an authority on what is referred to as The Muscle of The Soul.  Her teaching includes developing racial, social, and cultural awareness of BODY as process not object.  Her courses include Moving Whiteness, Coming to Our Senses and Nourishing the Female Soul Together.  Both nationally and internationally published, her works include The Psoas Book, Unraveling Scoliosis CD, Core Awareness; Enhancing Yoga, Pilates, Exercise & Dance, Psoas & Back Pain CD; Mother, Maiden, Crone: Our Pleasure Playlist and Stalking Wild Psoas: Embodying Your Core Intelligence. Valuing kinesthetic intelligence and somatic awareness as a means for developing human potential. Stalking Wild Psoas is her passion and Changing the Language of Body is her mission.

…“In this book, Stalking Wild Psoas, Liz Koch cradles our collective gasp and assumes the role of a trusted guide into the fascinating poetry of embodiment.
Tracking an emerging tradition that re-emphasizes entanglement in a new materialist terrain, and resituating bodies as the polyvocal agency of a surprisingly
intelligent and animated world (instead of as separable units set against a mute backdrop),
Liz Koch weaves a story of healing, of surprise, and of hope.
The psoas – a major core muscle that has a story to tell – is her main protagonist.
And her lilting and warm invitation rapturous voices of a world suddenly alive.

Welcome to Core Awareness™

Liz Koch is an international educator and author who seeks to dissolve the objectification of “body” in order to re-conceptualize human beings as biologically intelligent, self-organizing, and self-healing. Employing biomorphic and embryonic paradigms, Liz redefines psoas as smart, expressive tissue that is both elemental and universal.

Core Awareness fosters core integrity and self-efficacy as creative and expressive human beings.

Here at Core Awareness you’ll discover new ways of understanding the psoas. In addition to the blogs there is an educationally rich sourcing free for the taking. Explore my videos, articles, podcasts, interviews, FAQ’s and community links and let yourself go wild!
