 Growing Sustenance
Crafting a Life of Meaning

Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced
Soren Kierkegaard

Preparing our selves as bodies of culture and women entrepreneurs we are standing our ground, finding our paths, navigating the terrain of uncertainty, and cultivating nimbleness. This is a movement of retrieval and a blessing of bounty. Please join Liz Koch and Janice Cathey in exploring, discovering, and ruminating how best to weave a life of coherency.  This class includes innovating movements, self- inquiry, speaking truth, all grounded in the rich humus of collaboration.

Introduction & Ceremony of no regrets ~ recognizing the importance of using literal mythic and energetic techniques for the investigative and transformative nature of change (invite students to arrive with a vessel of water and three stones)

  1. Gathering ~ (grounding gesture)
    * including (what do I need to know)
    * feeling (unresolved, under-resourced patterns)
    * resourcing (where do I land and locate) local, global

  1. Sorting ~  (curling & arcing exploration)
    * trusting (my own authority to emerge)
    * facing (self and the world)
    * nourishing (growing discernment)

  1. Preparing ~ (longing rooting exploration)
    * soul impulses as growth (courage to be myself)
    * what I long for matters (trust and risk)
    * wildly supported (loving myself and sharing it)

  1. Timing ~  (spiraling movement)
    * unfolding (being honest with ourselves about changes that have to happen)
    * infolding (sustaining over time)
    * allowing (giving time for seeds to germinate)

Space Dust
written by Janice Cathey
Every single thing I know about birds is housed in a song
Long ago coded with the liquid twittering of chirp, chirp, chirp
What I need at this moment is water
Water to swim
Lovingly bathing my dried skin in immersive wonder and delight
I think my superpower is the act of noticing
Where, How, What, When
Weaving patterns placing a still point to a moving system of whirling arms of space dust surrounded by electrons of primal energy
Where do you hear your belonging
Is it dirt, soil, root
Where is it that I belong-here, now, never, and forever
The reach is within there is no certainty- the sprout takes time to develop
The nest has been built with pieces of broken earth placed in sacred geometrical heart space
Veins of being and nonbeing – wide spread mycelium- the network of the interrelated whole
Where, How, What, When
Crawl to stand
Stand to jump
Jump to launch
Off into the chirp, chirp, chirp
The whistle of delicate codes sung in songs not yet understood
space dust
whistle
delight
nest
e e e e
Gravity of falling grace gently landing, space dust …
Pinned gratitude – trauma that behaves like culture
Befriend the wild
Craft a life of meaning
The crawl of the lizard creeps toward its sanctuary
Sprout
Space dust
Don’t collapse
Soar

Welcome to Core Awareness™

Liz Koch is an international educator and author who seeks to dissolve the objectification of “body” in order to re-conceptualize human beings as biologically intelligent, self-organizing, and self-healing. Employing biomorphic and embryonic paradigms, Liz redefines psoas as smart, expressive tissue that is both elemental and universal.

Core Awareness fosters core integrity and self-efficacy as creative and expressive human beings.

Here at Core Awareness you’ll discover new ways of understanding the psoas. In addition to the blogs there is an educationally rich sourcing free for the taking. Explore my videos, articles, podcasts, interviews, FAQ’s and community links and let yourself go wild!
